ARE YOU FEELING TO BUSY TO ORGANIZE YOUR HOME AND FAMILY?
Then let me help you!
Because being organized actually helps you create time!
Getting organized takes more than one clean out of your house.
More than filling in one calendar and pasting it up on your wall.
As organizers of our families we must learn to use habits and patterns that will help our families stay organized every day for the rest of our lives.
This is why it is important to build and learn this process slowly. We don’t want to run out of steam or not see results for our new enthusiasm.
Don’t just grab a list of cleaning tasks and try to do them every day. Or fill in a table of how you want your week to look and hope it happens. Learn how to make it happen one baby step at a time!
Ready to focus on the family and get started?
TASK 1/WEEK 1: ORGANIZE HOME GOALS
Firstly in your focus on the family you need to think about your goals and focus. Do you want...
- behaved children?
- A Warm and welcome home
- Healthy, happy family members
- Productive activities and time
You don’t want to become a control freak but you do want to find your child’s immunisation records in less than an hour
You do want to know that you will have the ingredients in the cupboard when you choose the evening meal
You don’t want to feel nervous when you go to use your card because you are not sure how much money is in your account.
You do want a tidy house but not at the expense of your children not being able to enjoy playing with their toys.

TASK 2 / WEEK 2: SET UP YOUR FAMILY CALENDAR ZONE
This is where you set up the place where you keep your family calendar - the control zone! And if you haven't already, order your own copy of the
Organized Woman's Family Planner
- it will save you a lot of time in not having to make the lists yourself and is going to be referred to quite a bit in this tutorial. It really is an important tool in organizing your family.
Now you have your Organized Woman's Family Planner, it's time to learn how and where is the best place to set up your
Family Calendar Zone
TASK 3 / WEEK 3: BEGIN CREATING YOUR DAILY ROUTINES
When you focus on the family and what each person does from day to day you will realise that quite a bit of time can be wasted from just trying to think about what needs to be done next.
One of the most refreshing things I have discovered about home organization is that having a routine set out means I don't have to push my already tired head to remember what I have to do today. I also don't get to the end of the week and realise I have housework backed up because I didn't get to it earlier in the week.
Here are some types of routines you might like to set.
A) Morning Routine
B) Evening Routine
C) Daily Routine
D) Cleaning Routines

TASK 4 / WEEK 4: Fill in your quick reference personal information worksheet
This is page one of your Organized Womans Family Planner. It is a very handy page to show babysitters, housesitters, your children, your husband...
In one handy page you have all your emergency information and details you may need.
TASK 5 / WEEK 5: Develop Your Weekly Activity Plan
This is a one page glimpse of what your week contains. You can do a plan just for you that includes what meals you will cook each evening and what tasks you want to get done each day. Or you can focus on the family as a whole and do a plan that incorporates everyone or each individual in the family. However you want to work it, this is one of the most useful tools in helping me relax each week. I know that if I keep to the plan I will get all my tasks done over the week but will also get to do all the fun things we want to do together.
I print off a new weekly activity plan each week, enter in my menu plan for the week, what social things I want to do myself and what we want to do together as a family. I then allocate all my weekly jobs to different days. This way I can spend my home days uninterrupted and thoroughly enjoy my 'in town' days because I have set time aside to do my shopping, catch up with friends and take my daughter out for a coffee!
Various types of weekly activity plans or Monthly calenders are available in the Organized Womans Family Planner to suit your method of home organization.
TASK 6 / WEEK 6: Teach and Encourage Family Use of Planner
Having everything set up and ready to go is a key to the success of this step. Another important aspect is making sure you are committed to making the necessary changes. Just remember that you have been taking things one step at a time. Take your family on a similar journey in teaching them home organization. Try these

TASK 7: WORK THROUGH EACH ORGANIZE-OUR-FAMILY TOPIC
Each area of our focus on the family and home is covered in this website. There are always more ideas that can be added to each area so if you think of something, please let me know on the Contact Me page.
Right now though, select one of the following areas and begin putting into place the ideas that suit your home and family. Remember, don’t try to reach perfection and don’t try to bring too much change too quickly. It will be too hard for you all to keep it up. A small and simple change that becomes a habit is better than impressive changes that don’t last.
These areas are not listed in any particular order…So organize…..

OUR SCHOOL TIME
OUR VACATION

TASK 8: SET ASIDE TIME FOR YOURSELF EACH DAY AND EACH WEEK.
Don't focus on the family 100% of the time! This is hugely important if you are to have some stress relief and not feel like an overworked worn out rag. Give yourself a break once a day, an enjoyable activity once a week and some special moments with your husband once a week too. This is important because it will increase your passion for doing what you do. You need to feel like a cherished woman and wife and appreciated mother.
