How to Organize Your Kitchen














Reading about how to organize your kitchen doesn't always help. Sometimes it's good to see some before and after photo's. They also help you see which cupboards you may need help with.

Firstly, you need to get yourself some cupboard organizers. These are wire shelves or plastic shelves or whatever it is that you can put in your cupboards to help you see and find what you have.

Under The Sink...

The idea with these cupboards is to create some kind of height in there as there are no shelves. The option shown is by no means the exact answer but it gives you ideas to work with!
  • Get plastic bags inside one bag
  • Place onions / potatoes in plastic container
  • Use a wire rack to gain height in cupboard and place supplies on top and underneath
  • Wire racks on doors are a great place to hang gloves, dishcloths or hold cleaning items

How to Organize Pantry Cupboards...

Once again, there are always many different solutions to a problem. What you see here are some examples of shop purchased storage solutions as well as using recycled ice-cream containers. Kitchen organization and storage does not have to be expensive. In fact, the more you can utilize what you already have the better.

You'll notice that when working with deep shelves in a pantry you need to think about height. Either elevate items at the back with wire shelves or stack taller items there.

Also, put items you don't use very often on very top shelves or very bottom shelves.

How to organize your kitchen cupboards does not have to be difficult or daunting. Just work shelf by shelf, find storage containers to put everything in and you are on your way! You can also learn more from these Kitchen Storage Ideas.
