As you begin this journey of starting a business online, let me give you some tips for moms that will help you avoid getting distracted or caught up in internet scams along the way… √ There is A LOT of rubbish out there to wade through! √ I was going to need a website in order to have the best opportunities √ It was not going to happen quickly (my journey has taken me 5 months so far and I know I've still got a long way to go) √ If you're serious you will have to spend some money setting up a decent business but it will be a heck of a lot cheaper than starting a business offline √ Don't copy something someone else is doing that thousands of people sign up to do because it's a waste of time √ Just because you have a website doesn't mean people are going to come and look at it. The majority of websites just collect internet dust. √ Getting a list of customers is important and I need some way to collect a database of names to email out regular offers to. These people become your regular customers and you are allowed to email them because they have asked for your information. √ I need a system called an autoresponder to automatically send out a series of emails to all my customers √ I need a system that tracks the visitors to my site and helps me anylise what happens on my website. √ Having multiple sources of income on my website was going to be the best way to go because it increases my options at making an income √ The best sources of income for a website are promoting other people's products and that is called an affiliate, letting google advertise on your site and earning money when people click on the ads and finally selling a product/s you may have written or made. That is some of what I have learn't in a nut shell. A lot of this was out of my experience so I've needed quite a bit of help along the way. If some of the above areas intimidate you too, then you are welcome to use the tools and ideas I have here to help you get on your way too. The main thing to remember is that being one of the work at home moms IS achievable! Want to be inspired by other mom's success stories?

Step 3: Set up a work space.
It’s important to have a space where you can leave your work and come back to it without having to pack it away all the time. This is especially important for Work at Home moms because we are at home for our children. Therefore their needs come first. We might get started on some work for the day but then need to play a game with them and not get back to the work space for some time. Here are some of the things I take into account when setting up an effective workspace: - out of reach of curious fingers - good position to watch the kids play. (We have open plan living and my desk is near a window so I can keep an eye on inside and outside play) - Making sure I have all the supplies I need on hand - Good storage set up so it doesn’t make the rest of the house / room look too cluttered For ages I just had my laptop and laptop bag. I’d sit on the couch to do all my work, it was easy to jump up to attend to the kids and when I had to leave for a bit I’d slide all my work into the laptop bag and zip it up so it wasn’t fiddled with. So don’t feel like you have to get too elaborate. You can find out more about how to Organize your
home office space here.
Step 4: Get the tools you need
- stationery items- computer and internet connections - plenty of books and magazines in the area you would like to start your business in. It’s good to expand your knowledge and understanding to make sure you can offer the best tools and services possible.
So in Conclusion...
